You will first visit Salvador, the first capital of Brazil, a city steeped in history, cultural heritage and beauty; then Praia do Forte, a quaint fisherman village, known for its beaches, restaurants and artisan shops; and finish in the Amazon at the Amazonat Jungle Lodge.

Salvador - 2 nights includes:

2 nights in Salvador at the Hotel Catharina Paraguacu. This charming old Colonial home is located in the central Bohemian district of Rio Vermelho. It is walking distance from the beach and from many good bars and restaurants.

· Full Day Salvador City Tour featuring Pelourinho, a typical Bahian lunch, Mercado Modelo, and other historical sites

Praia do Forte - 1 night includes:

3 nights in Praia do Forte at the Pousada Farol das Tartarugas. This new pousada is located 20 meters from the beach and next to the TAMAR Project Visitor Center. |

Amazon– 4 nights includes:

4 nights at the Amazonat Jungle Lodge, located 158 kilometers (98 miles) east of Manaus. Amazonat offers a complete variety of nature viewing tours to see incredible wildlife and flora, as well as, fishing and survival trips, such as learning how to make your own blow gun.
Tours:
· Jungle night trek looking for giant spiders and fluorescent fungus
· Jungle treks to see flora and fauna with demonstrations of survival techniques
· Camping overnight in the jungle to experience the Amazon by night
· Urubu River trip to visit an Igapo (flooded jungle) that includes a fishing experience and visit to a local Amazon community
· Amazon River Trip to view the meeting of the Amazon River and the Rio Negro
· Fishing trip & Pink Dolphin sighting, bird watching and alligator spotting |

Adventure Rating: easy to moderate. The Amazonat Jungle Lodge does not permit children under the age of 10 yrs. Tropical weather and direct sunlight demands sun protection and plenty of fluids.
